Contact Tracing Action Alert

Many of our members have reached out to us concerned about the contact tracing program being pushed by Governor Abbott.
We share your concerns.

Among our core values is a belief that your medical information is private & participation in programs that seek to track health data should be by explicit consent only. We have seen the game played by governments that begin a program under the guise of “recommending” to Texans what is best for their health, only to witness them quickly move to mandating behavior with the threat of government punishment.

The government should stop thinking its job is to keep everyone healthy, and instead focus on protecting our rights. We here at TFVC will remain vigilant as our government expands greatly and the threats to our members grow.

CONTACT GOVERNOR ABBOTT TODAY to let him know Texans do not wish to be monitored or surveilled for any reason. Use our sample letter below for inspiration (feel free to also copy it directly) and submit to the governor using the contact form HERE.

Sample Letter:

Governor Abbott,
With so many Texans suffering financially, why are you spending $300 million on a “temporary” program aimed at alleviating this single outbreak that, according to your own data, is disappearing without any sort of surveilling intervention?

I am concerned that you are allowing the small group of unelected persons with potential conflicts of interest on your Strike Force to enact policies – such as this contact tracing program – that have the potential to profoundly affect the lives and privacy of Texans with NO legislative or voter accountability for any of them.

I am also concerned this program would not end with the disappearance of this virus. Considering the hefty monetary investment and the infrastructure put in place to carry it out, what assurances do Texans have this contract will not evolve into another overreaching state program that will ultimately threaten our privacy and consume valuable state resources?

Additionally, it has been repeatedly stated that participation in this program is voluntary, however, if my name is provided as a “contact” of a recently infected person, where is my opportunity to decline to participate? What are the consequences of non-compliance?

Please reconsider this contract or clarify the many concerns Texans have about the potential harmful implications of mass surveillance in our great state.

Sincerely,

  1. Governer Abbott,
I believe in less government. Contract tracing is nothing more than grounds for a New World Order in which I do not want to be a part of in any way. This Covid virus is nothing more than bio-terriorism, please do not placate the leftist Democratic Nazi party.

The money spent on this would better benefit the state if it were used to help small business

  4. I don’t want the contract tracking to be pushed. I don’t want it at all. It’sa violation of our privacy rights as Americans.

surveillance. The Republican Party of Texas opposes any future government initiatives

  8. Governed, I can’t believe you are turning the GREAT state of Texas into a communistic state! What a SHAME. You no longer have my vote and you should be ashamed of yourself. You will answer to God for your crimes.

Anti Vaxxers. Please, do not let your paranoid minds put others at risk. Please do consider.

    1. This is not even about a vaccine, but if a vaccine is what you want, you first. After you have received at least 2 boosters without getting ill from anything, I might consider re-thinking my position.

  12. Greg Abbott got $25,000 from CVS Health, and for that inducement, he was willing to disrupt the lives of millions of Texas residents? Abbott also got $5,000 from AstraZeneca Pharma; $3,000 from Eli Lilly Pharma; $2,500 from Sanofi Pharma; $2,500 from Abbott Laboratories and $2,500 from Humana. It appears that for the modest sum of $40,500, the Governor of Texas was influenced to drastically interfere with the 14th and 1st Amendment rights of 29 million Texans; and to be a party to the ruination of at least hundreds of thousands of small to medium size businesses! And to the bankruptcy and employment loss of millions of Texans! MISTER ABBOTT, YOU BELONG IN THAT WHEELCHAIR! SAM HOUSTON WOULD HAVE TAUGHT YOU A LESSON ABOUT SELLING OUT!

Looks like Abbott is just another Rick Perry who wanted to force Gardasil vaccine on the unwilling after he got a Merck “campaign contribution” (bribe).

  13. Mr. Abbott-

We are depending on your good judgement to help our state get back to business without the mandates and govt over reach that has plagued so many other states (NY, NJ, Calf) We do not want contact tracing apps or mandatory vaccines. This virus is less dangerous than the seasonal flu but we have shut down our entire economy over it and govt is listening to non medical billionaires regarding mandatory vaccines and other mandates. Let’s help small business’s get back on track and all of us back to work and school. Stop the madness !! We don’t need NY Gov. telling us how to test for this virus. We don’t need all the testing centers promoting”false positives”.
